Dpolg Criticizes Announced Border Procedure As Clearly Insufficient

DPolG criticizes announced border procedure as clearly insufficient

Lack of personnel, inadequate equipment and unclear legal situation

Call for more police officers and improved working conditions

The German Police Union (DPolG) has criticized the federal government's plans to introduce a new border procedure as "clearly insufficient". In a statement, the union warned that the measures would not be enough to effectively control illegal immigration and protect the country's borders.

The DPolG pointed to a number of shortcomings in the government's plans, including a lack of personnel, inadequate equipment and an unclear legal situation. The union said that the government had failed to provide enough funding for the new border procedure and that there were not enough police officers to carry out the necessary tasks.

The DPolG also criticized the government's plans to use private security companies to help control the border. The union said that these companies were not qualified to carry out police work and that their use would undermine public trust in the police.

The DPolG called on the government to reconsider its plans and to invest in a more effective border control system. The union said that this would require more police officers, better equipment and a clear legal framework.

"The government's current plans are not enough to protect our borders and ensure the safety of our citizens," said DPolG chairman Rainer Wendt. "We need a more effective border control system that is based on the rule of law and that respects the rights of all involved."
